The 2.4kW Athena Wi-Fi Remote Controllable Infrared Bar Heater with Motion Sensor is a fantastic way to get powerful near infrared heat into your home, business or garden.

Using 2.4kW of power means this heater will reach surface temperatures of between 200-300°C while easily heating a space of 33-38m². Unlike other heaters with similar power levels, this model is quite sleek, only measuring 870mm by 160mm. It can be mounted on the wall out of reach, and will only jut out by 80mm.

All that power is easy to control, with this heater coming with multiple methods to manage it. You can pair it with your mobile phone, use a smart home assistant, or use the included remote control. Choose between multiple heating levels, timers and adjustable goal temperatures to create the exact feel you want. It even features a motion sensor for extra peace of mind. That sensor has a 3m range, and it will ensure that if no movement is detected for 2 minutes, the heater will switch off. This makes them much safer and also helps reduce your bills.

Choose between 4 distinct power levels, 25%, 50%, 75% and 100%.  This lets you further customise the feel of your heat, as well as manage how much power you're using effectively, giving you more control over your bills. You're not stuck using 2400W if you don't need it.

This unit is protected with an IP65 rating, so you can easily use it in a range of outdoor locations with minimal shelter required.

What IR Can Do For You

There are absolutely loads of amazing benefits to using infrared heat that traditional convection heaters can’t hope to match.

For example, while all electrical heaters are 100% efficient, IR heaters use a more direct, radiant heat that’s amazing at making you feel comfortable quickly. That means you won’t have to keep the heater running for as long, and it’s why many find that IR heat can help reduce their bills.

By pairing your heater to your Wi-Fi through the Smart Life app, you unlock a huge range of control methods right in the palm of your hand. You can set a 7-day timer, an hourly timer, create multiple heating zones and even give your family access to manage things themselves. All of this can be done from anywhere in the world, as long as you have a Wi-Fi connection.

This app is compatible with iOS and Android devices, and once paired you can also control your heating through Google Home or Amazon Alexa devices.

Remote Controls

If you don’t have your mobile to hand, you can still manage your heating through the included remote control. This gives you access to all the same features as the mobile app, but you do have to be closer to the heater itself.

It also comes with a child lock, so if your little ones decide to play with it they won’t mess up your heating.

Motion Sensor

For even more ways to automate your heating, the heater features a motion sensor. If this sensor doesn’t detect anyone within 3m in the room after 2 minutes it will shut the heater down. This is a simple way to get complete peace of mind, there’s absolutely zero risk your heating will be running when you don’t want it to be.

Whatever settings you choose, and however you control your heater, you can always see what it’s doing thanks to the integrated LED display.

Powerful Heat

Most of our heaters make use of far infrared heat, but Athena uses near instead. The crucial difference between these two terms is the fact that near infrared is closer to the red end of the electromagnetic spectrum, creating shorter, more powerful wavelengths.

This is still safe to be around, but it creates a more intense form of heat, one that’s perfect for outdoor use. You’ll feel comfortably warm even when the weather around you is bad.
